After serving a five-year sentence for manslaughter, a young woman settles in a small Maine town and takes a job working for the feisty owner of the local grill.     Watching this movie Spit Fire Grill right away grabs you up and makes you a help mate through out this movie. Even at times giving ambitious thoughts of running out and saving some small part of my world . Than of course being sometimes there just aren't enough rocks as Forrest Gump says!

    Great movie!

    I just happened upon this movie several years ago at a video rental store. I watched "Fried Green Tomatoes" again recently and thought of this movie. It's a little gem of a movie. I loved every part of this film!

    Little know, but a great movie

    I caught the ending of this on cable on night. No of the stores around here stocked, so I was able to find a new copy on ebay. The pricing made it a must buy, and the movie was a nice mix of comedy and drama. You will start to like some of the characters, and not like some of the others. All the performers give a great performances. The story is a little more creative that what we are seeing in the theaters now. If you just want a nice touching movie, that almost all the family can watch (there is some bad words and drinking, and one plot line is a little heavy for younger kids I would say 13 or younger)this one is really worth checking out, and the prices are low enough you can't go wrong with this one.

    The Spitfire Grill-DVD

    What I enjoyed most about this movie was the concept itself. Raffling off a business or home is a brilliant idea and one that is currently practiced in certain magazines. You can find these raffles in the want ads of the back pages. In fact, after watching this movie, I found one and entered the raffle several years back. The entrance fee was $100. I did not win but enjoyed participating. Aside from the concept, the movie was excellent. It is a tear jerker with a sad ending but wonderful acting and the movie setting is beautiful. Might be a little too deep for youngsters but I highly recommend this movie.

    I love this movie. I can watch it again and again. It’s one of those comfort things I do when I’m down or feeling sick.
