About this product

Product Information

John Cryer stars in this meld of a 1980s teen comedy and a mob film as Andrew, a young stockbroker who's scheduled to testify against the mob. However, Andrew runs for his life after assassins kill an FBI agent protecting him. Shaving his beard and bleaching his hair, Andrew assumes the guise of a high school student and finds himself ill suited to go through high school once again. However, when he becomes enchanted with one of the school's female students, Andrew not only finds it difficult to act his age around her parents, but also begins rethinking his life. Unfortunately, before he has much time to relive his high school days, he's spotted by the mob, forcing Andrew to make a difficult decision.

    REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY WANTED TO LIKE THIS....

    John Cryer was very charming and really charismatic here. And HIDING OUT starts off really cool and it's got the perfect set-up for a great movie, but, eh, it quickly fizzles. Should have had a really better comedic script with a ton of unforgettably funny one-liners. But this was really more of a slightly average dramady saddled down with a really dated and instantly forgettable 1980's movie soundtrack. The only song from the soundtrack that was pretty cool at all was Pretty Poison's "CATCH ME NOW, I'M FALLING". Watched this once. And as much as I love John Cryer, eh, this one's NOT for me.

    hiding out dvd

    I bought this dvd as a gift for my husband. we had this movie on vhs tape that we had taped off the tv years ago. he had watched it so much that it wore the tape out. the movie is a good one filled with drama and romance. i like both annabeth gish and john cryer. i would recommend this movie to anyone!

    love jon cryer ealier work

    I LOVE 80's movie and this is one of my fav....Jon Cryer did a great job in this movie.. Hiding out in a school attenting the school when he is way over age ...It was just great...
