Based on award-winning director Peter Jackson's big-budget remake of the landmark 1933 Cooper and Schoedsack film, this video game version of King Kong is designed to convey the action and excitement the massive monster inspires, as well as the poignancy and emotion of the melancholy "beauty and the beast" storyline. Gameplay comes in two styles: In control of the ambitious hero Jack Driscoll, players fight for their own survival from a first-person perspective, while in the empowering role of the mighty Kong himself, players have a third-person perspective that allows them to take in their surroundings, and take better control the massive ape in battle. Developed in conjunction with Jackson and his production company, the game also features scenes and locations not seen in the film.

    Nice game great graphics!

    I'm a big fan of first person shooters. I love historical pieces like the Medal ofHonor series. This game is cool. the animation is really good. Jack Black is funny and it looks a lot like him. Its creepy and moody. Not too hard as you get help from the other people with you. Ive only just gotten to the part where Kong takes the girl. Later you appartantly get to play as Kong in Third person. I dont know if the game goes as far as taking him to new york. Th e instruction book didnt mention it. I skipped teh movie as I'd had my fill of Over CGI garbage. But Like the Hulk movie ( UGH! ) A bad movie has made a good video game. The plastering of PETER JACKSON OFFICAL is annoying his name is as big as King Kongs on the box . . . .

    King Kong

    I like this game because it actually felt like you were there, the tension, the exitement the strange feeling you get when you don't know what's going to come out of the next corner, however you run out of ammo way to quickly and are therefore forced to use a spear which do little damage to large dinosaurs. I decided to buy it because of all the great reviews it got. All in all Peter Jacksons King Kong:The official game of the movie is a good success and should sell lots of copies worldwide. By Toby

    King Kong Game Cube Game

    My son watched this movie, and he just had to have the game. He loves it!!! We all love it. My husband never plays video games, but he plays this game every chance he gets. THe graphics are great. It's like you are in the movie yourself. They go through scenes right out of the movie, and I think that is great. It was good for me, because my son watched the movie everyday. Now, I have a break from the movie, which was great, and we all play the game together. It was worth buying.

    The game doesn't work.

    I got the game in poor condition, no matter what I do to try and clean the disc, my gamecube won't read it
