A worthwhile read: extremely interesting, not as well-written as I hoped
The Maze Runner was fast-paced and brilliantly plotted. The plotline itself is what kept me reading, even when the writing style itself got in the way. It was not the most well-written book I've ever read (meaning that Dashner's writing was occasionally noticeable in a way that distracted the reader from getting totally absorbed into the world he creates), but the plotline made up for these occasional slips. If it were not for these few, annoying instances I would definitely give the book a 5/5 rating. Dashner does a good job of creating a unique and imaginative sub-culture for his characters, complete with their own social morays and creative lingo. Unlike some authors' attempts at this, Dasher's sub-culture does not come off as forced or cliche. This adds strength to the plot and ... The Maze Runner was fast-paced and brilliantly plotted. "The Maze Runner", An Excellent Book to Read
I just read "The Maze Runner", by James Dashner and absolutely loved the book. It was slow to get into, but once I got hooked, I couldn't put it down. I would recommend it to any middle school age child. Adults will love it too! There are some cool resources for the book on the web and it is beginning to get quite a following! Awesome book! You won't be disappointed!!
This book is amazing! An absolute must read for anyone interested in mystery, sci-fi, fantasy, romance, danger, thrill, and so much more! My friend read The Maze Runner and loved it, so she suggest I read it, and I am so glad I did! I loved it so much that I had to have my own copy!!

Incredible book...movie worthy
This is an excellent book that has an incredible story line...cant wait to read the second book, I think they should make a movie trilogy based on these books.
