    Terrapin Stands Alone

    Terrapin Station is a classic must-have studio album by the Grateful Dead. It is often overlooked in comparison to other studio efforts by the Dead, but it holds it's own quite well with the passing of time. Released in 1977, it featured new songs from several of the band members: Garcia & Hunter's epic masterwork "Terrapin Station," Weir & Barlow's classic "Estimated Prophet" and Lesh & Monk's rockin "Passenger." Donna's new tune "Sunrise" and covers that were two staples of the Dead's live shows ["Samson and Delilah" and "Dancin in the Streets"] round it out quite nicely. This album is full of tight musicianship and great playing. The entire "Terrapin Suite" on side #2 is worth the album alone, it has to be be heard to be fully appreciated. Terrapin Stands Alone!

    Terrapin Station CD - Grateful Dead

    This is one of the best Dead albums in my opinion. It is a break from their usual music genre. It has a very bluegrass feel and the addition of female singers compliments the album.
