Beautiful!
Wonderful collection of music from this era! Bought one years ago for myself - my daughter in her 20's wanted it, so I kept looking until I found one - I don't think she's had anything else in her CD player since. Music from an era I wish we could return to, when men were heros fighting for our freedom, and women worked and missed their men. If you want a true sense of how America could be if we stopped trying to make ourselves out to be villains to the rest of the world, this will definitely help.Wonderful collection of music from this era! Timeless ...
Even though I was born two solid decades after these songs were recorded, they instill a sense of serenity, certain that there IS light at the end of a very long, dark tunnel. Written and performed during World War II, these songs remain timeless, still comforting, as the trials of this world continue on. There have been many conflicts since and will, no doubt, be many after. The constant being the human element. The loved ones of those involved in our current conflict have the same aching hearts as those who waited before.
