Mr Glanzman is a Master!
Sam Glanzman was one of the most underrated Golden/Silver Age Comic Book artists ever. His story-telling and artwork are in my opinion the most poignant, compelling and introspective styles ever in this industry. He was a great voice for America's WWII era's Greatest Generation. A Sailor's Story is a prime example of how Glanzman can transport the reader back to that historical era full of loyalty. bravery,sacrifice and brotherhood. This book is a fantastic read full of extras that help us get to know Glanzman even better. You could tell Glanzman's works came straight from his heart. It was an honor for DC Comics to have allowed him this platform in their War comics during the 1960's and 70's when I first was touched by his work. His stories of the USS Stevens and her crew were jewels ... Sam Glanzman was one of the most underrated Golden/Silver Age Comic Book artists ever.
