I love Angelfish! I got into them through Shirley Manson's superb work in Garbage. She is such an underrated talent that needs more recognition. Honestly, Shirley Manson in my opinion is the greatest lead vocalist and female singer ever! If anyone is a huge fan or even just a casual fan of Garbage, pick up this CD! Angelfish ROCKS!!! Also, for you Shirley Manson fans out there, be sure to watch TERMINATOR: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Season Two, as Shirley Manson acts in it as a Terminator. Hopefully Garbage will release a 5th album when she's not busy. I also hope for a Shirley Manson solo album. SHIRLEY MANSON IS GOD!!!I love Angelfish! Solid alt rock album, Shirley amazing as usual
As a Garbage fan, I'm pretty biased when reviewing this album. Nevertheless, I think it's a solid alt rock album that was definitely underrated. I love the song "King of the World," I believe it's my favorite on the album. Shirley sounds amazing, as usual, and much like she did on Garbage's first record (which was recorded shortly after Angelfish's). Any fan of Garbage/Shirley should definitely pick this up.As a Garbage fan, I'm pretty biased when reviewing this album. Angelfish, Shirly Manson's band just prior to leaving to work with Garbage, has the same twisted sexual energy, raw emotion, and boundless energy, as Garbage, with out all the noise. So, if you like Garbage, then having this recording is an absolute must.If you ever wondered how much of Garbage was Shirly Manson, and how much was, Butch, Duke and Steve? Undiscovered yet by Butch Vig, Shirley Manson leads this gothy, alternative band Angelfish. The music is wonderfully moody and similar to Souxie and the Banshees. I dig it, big time.
