  • Great restoration of a raunchy retelling of the Frankenstein story

I wanted this since I first started collecting 3D movies a few years back because I watched it in 3D in the late 1970s when it was called "Andy Warhol's Frankenstein". It arrived two days ago, and I just watched it. Yikes. I don't know if I can show this one at our local theater. First, I don't know if our license covers it, but even if it does, this is one totally gross movie. Rocky Horror is vanilla compared to this. The restoration is fantastic. The first few minutes, with the title credits, is very hard to watch because the lettering doesn't let the eyes focus well, but after that it's just amazing how good the quality it is. That makes all the body parts being groped and humped stunning in 3D. It is a work of art. But probably one best kept with a bag over it. I am not showing this ...

  • A gory cult classic - Magnificent 3D!

How to describe Flesh for Frankenstein / Andy Warhols Franenstein? A gory mess is a good start! Dr. Frankenstein is creating “Serbian Zombies”, which he hopes to breed and take over the world. His wife, (or is she his sister?) has an unsatisfied libido. Likewise his lab assistant Otto. It’s also hard to describe Warhols role is the film, he is sometimes credited with being the Producer, but when asked about exactly what he did he replied “I went to all the parties!” The main attraction of the film is the 3D effects. INCREDIBLE pop-outs, mostly involving human entrails, There’s nothing like watching a liver dangle 1 foot in front of your face! The Blu-ray disc offers 3D in Real 3D (requires 3D Blu-ray player and 3D TV) and anaglyph. The Real 3D is phenomenal, but watching a color movie in ...

  • Not the usual Tale

I bought this mostly to add to my 3D collection. It's not the usual Frankenstein story and might be a little too gruesome for the average viewer.
