    It's nostalgic for me.

I love the atmosphere, the music and the gameplay. I used to play this a lot as a kid and I always enjoyed building a huge army through the campaign. The graphics are dated, the AI can be pretty dumb at times, but the core gameplay is there. I don't expect everyone to appreciate it like me and I don't really care. My favorite game out of the whole Army Men series. God bless the US too. Shock and awe bitches.

  • Real time for Game cube

As far as I know this is the only game of its type for gamecube. Gamecubes drawback was its limited library of games. I have played a similar build a factory and send your armies forth type game on home computer. It was an older game, but the controls were abit easier, especially the camera. This game the camrera and map are too narrow viewed. Swithching back and forth between controls seems difficult because you can only see so much of the game at once. Also it was complicated. like I said if I had not already played a game like this the instructions would have lost me. I want to say that this might deter young players but they seem to get the hang of things quicker than us grown ups. The army men are cute as always and when you send out your machines to harvet raw materials they go out ...

  • Rts on console

Fun with a learning curve for anyone who's ever played a rts (real time strategy) game on PC. Playing on GameCube is a challenge at first learning the controls. Then it's a blast. Build your base to defeat the tan army, harvest plastic and energy from toys or even the molten remains of your enemies lying on the battlefield. Battle across the backyard fight spiders and tan soldiers alike, build tanks and helicopters.use snipers and bazooka units to devastate enemies. This game is a blast! 1 player by the way.

  • Army Men RTS Game Cube Review

This game was purchased mostly for the kids. But it is one of the few games that I enjoy playing. It's easier to handle, not too many directionals. I like that you have an overview instead of looking thru the characters eyes. It's a lot of fun, the levels are difficult but not impossible. My 6 year old plays. It has Bronze, Silver, and Gold finishing levels. So you can play each area over again to finish with a better score, thus opening secret areas. I also like that you can build your own army. Buidings, tanks, ambulances, different types of soldiers, and so on. The # of each is up to you. It depends on your objective and how you decide to attack the area. I like this game. I give it a thumbs up.

  • Always different, never gets old.

At first the game can be overwhelming and frustrating but once you learn how to out flank the Tan the game becomes addictive. Send out patrols or a sniper to find the enemy. Secure your base with guard towers, barbed wire, pill boxes, tanks, half tracks or choppers. You decide how many and what type of Army man to send out and with or without heavy equipment. You talk about inter-active, this is it!! When I was a kid everybody played with the little plastic Army men and now you can do it on the screen. This type of game is more in line with hepling a childs mind to develop than most others and is a must buy.
