I had a problem where the trim ring did not fit on the shifter and the seller quickly offered for me to return for a full refund. As I still wanted the shifter, I opted to try to sand down the mounting point myself so the ring would fit. It worked out pretty well but ultimately would not slide over the set screws as they are not completely flush so I would have had to take a good bit more material off to get it to fit over the set screws. All in all the shifter works well and looks good.
