When an incredibly rich racist (Ray Milland) discovers that he's dying, he decides to have his head transplanted onto another body, but his health slips away too fast for him to make any concrete plans. When he wakes up, he's a little irked that his bigoted head has been sewn onto the body of a black death-row inmate, played by the inimitable Rosey Grier (the famous football player who enjoys knitting). THE THING WITH TWO HEADS is the camp classic to end all camp classics, an uproarious film that has a large, dedicated cult fan base. The special effects team even includes a very young Rick Baker, who went on to revolutionize the use of SFX in film. While not exactly THE DEFIANT ONES or IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT, this surreal, absurd, impossible-not-to-love film hits 1970s racism right on the head--er, or is that heads?--leaving willing audiences with an unforgettable cinematic experience.

    Rosie Grier!

    You know its a plot that at the time (72) a lot of things weren't known in the the medical field and a lot of thing were being discovered. Rosie Grier was great in this movie, so was the Doctor with him Ray Milland I think was his name? THIS movie is another one that I can brag about having. Its a heck of a plot! A heck of a lot of people would say this is the worst most terrible flick ever made- But look, if you collect spagetti flicks or a Rosie Grier fan why not own it? I am going to enjoy making my kids watch this flick when they are older! It will be part of the cabin collection, and it will make them say years after I am gone, "Oh god the movies dad made us watch-!" Because that is exactually what I say about my old man. .     This is one of the best movies ever made. This is fact.

    Sometimes people see a movie and say it's the best the movie ever. It should be known that “The Thing With Two Heads” is as good or better than any movie they ever mention. This is inarguably the definition of classic, brilliant cinema at the apex of the filmmaking craft. The movie does start slow, and it may be hard for some movie lovers to get into it for the first 20 or so minutes, but when it becomes clear where the story is going, soon it takes off, culminating in one of the greatest car chase scenes in film history, as a seemingly unlimited amount of police cars try to capture 3 fugitives riding a dirtbike around an enormous grassy, wooded field. A haunting ending and an inspirational credit sequence earns this fun and unforgettable narrative it’s place among the Pantheon of ...
