Unfortunately the package was handled poorly by UPS and arrived with a large hole on the side. Some of the plastic in the dvd cases broke as a result, no discs were damaged. Not the sellers fault but some extra packing buffers or bubble wrap could have helped. Otherwise, items arrive on time just as described

    Sony Playstation Pulse Elite Edition

My headset is in brand new condition with protective film still in place. I did however notice the USB cable used to charge it is missing. Not a huge deal, the missing cable is really short and I had a micro USB cable already. The headset itself is great. I have a large head and it is very comfortable for me. Friends say mic sounds better than the "silver" headset I was previously using. The pulse gimmick is just that, but not annoying. Volume is a little low, but I feel the speakers need some more time to break in. Sound mixer for voice and game sound is a godsend. And all the controls on the cups of the headset are easy to memorize and adjust on the fly. Overall I am happy with the price I paid for what I got.

    Good, but not enough bass.

Ive been curious about these headphones for awhile, so I finally bought them. Straight out of the box, they felt pretty good. The construction is pretty solid, and they feel good on my head (and I have a big head, so some phones don't fit right). They are a little heavy for headphones, but personally, I don't mind. I can play for a 2 hours or so, and it never became an issue. As for the "Rumble" feature, it does add quite a bit to the experience. But at lower volumes, the rumble can be distracting. But at louder volumes, its awesome for shooting, explosions, car engines, etc. Over all, Im pretty happy with them. My only issues are that for one, they aren't as loud as I like. And two, besides the rumble feature, there isn't much bass. Most of the different settings, don't change the sound ...

  • Great buy. Not obligatory though.

The sound quality is better than the previous one. It handles bass sounds better, more specifically. The Bass Impact technology (It vibrates in response to strong bass sounds) is pretty fun to use while you watch movies or play games alone, but it becomes a downside when playing online. It has some modes like Shooter, Racing, Music, Movie and Gaming. Shooter and Racing sucks, in my opinion. Music, Movie and Gaming fill up their purposes. The built-in microphone quality isn't so good as the previous one, but it was expected because you know... it's BUILT-IN and not extensible like the other. The design is really way better, although you may have to get used to the hard plastic upper part that goes in your head, since it is not so much cushined. But I wouldn't rate that part "horrible" ...

  • I love the way they feel on my head!

The sound is amazing, but I have to take them off from time to time to look at the volume controls and other controls. The worst thing about them is the battery life. I guess that's the issue with most of Sony's stuff right now. I have to use the PS3 to charge it. But I do love the phones though. Best ones I've used.

  • Excellent headset that can hang with the big boys for half the price.

This is a good headset. It's a bit uncomfortable for the first couple of weeks before you break it in. Can really put pressure on your head (which you don't really notice until you take it off after a decently long session). I did experience a problem on the second night of ownership where the headset locked up and you could not do anything (could not turn it off, could not do anything to reset the headset as detailed in the book and online). Ended up having to wait almost 2 days for the battery to drain for the headset to reset itself. Since then, I updated the firmware through my PS3 and the PULSE management software and have not had a single problem since. Very good sound and I like the vibration function for games. I think it adds an immersive element. I have not really played ...
