About this product

Product Information

This feature captures the British group Jethro Tull's live concert at the 2003 Montreux Festival, where the band played the first half of the gig semi-acoustically before going fully electric for the remainder of the set. Ian Anderson and his band perform the flute-heavy classics "Aqualung" and "Locomotive Breath," alongside newer songs such as "Pavane" and "Budapest."

  • Ian on a roll

Ian Andersons interaction with the crowd and the tightness of the bands playing make it an exceptional value. It always amazes me how these long term bands can change sections of a song and still make it so entertaining that it seems like a brand new song.

  • Jethro Tull Live at Montreux 2003

I had bought this for my girlfriend (she plays the flute) as a Christmas present. We watched it and it was alright, but not the most interesting concert I've seen. If you would like to see what Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull are up to today, buy this, but don't expect to be blown away. Yes, their musical talents have only gone way up since the 70's, but to me this was just not that interesting of a concert. Some may disagree, but my girlfriend, who really emulates Anderson, wasn't even that interested in the concert. Whatever you do, try not to spend too much on this, because it's not really worth it.

  • IAN at 60

Ian Anderson has lost his voice years ago..But he still is one of the Best Flautist in the World. This Band still rocks after 40 years of rock and roll...If you never heard of Jethro Tull..i emplore you to go buy this video..you will be very suprised..If you know and love Jethro Tull...It will be thouroughly enjoyable to you. Happy 60th Birthday Ian!!
