Right before joining Van Halen Sammy cranked out solo albums that got better with each one. Album Radio friendly + movie soundtrack songs were Top 50 quality, he continued as "VAN HAGER" !

Sammy Hagar outdid himself with his solo effort of Standing Hampton. I was very surprised when Eddie Van Halen offered him the job as lead singer and he accepted! Hagar has always been able to stand on his own without the backup band following his lead. Hagar's blistering guitar work and catchy licks prevail in songs like: Heavy Metal and Fall in Love Again. He will always stand out with the parrot-heads as well as Sammy Hagar and Jimmy Buffet life the beach life and always seem to take you there!
