About this product

Product Information

The third and final Mega Man X game for Super NES features two playable characters and twice the number of secret items to collect. Mega Man X is joined by fellow Maverick hunter Zero this time around, who is playable in areas outside of boss fights. Located throughout many of the side-scrolling stages are heart tanks, health sub-tanks, and four types of part upgrades: helmet, leg, armor, and weapon. Also available to discover are four types of specialization chips and four suits of temporary, powered-up armor. The action otherwise follows the familiar blueprint of the sci-fi series, with eight themed stages filled with robotic minions to shoot down. Acquire each Maverick's signature weapon in preparation for the final encounter with the evil Sigma.

    Another epic Mega Man game

Had to get this to complete my Mega Man cartridge collection. I now have all NES, SNES, Gameboy, Game Gear cartridges. Took me 6 years to find all in near mint condition. This game is hard to find in great condition. Good Luck.

  • A proper send-off for the Super Nintendo

X and Zero are back once again to shred some scrap metal and save the day. You take on the role of X, but also get the option to play as Zero for the very first time and blast away. The adventure is a large one, with much more open worlds and plenty of weather and color variation to each stage. It boasts plenty of challenge, many upgrades allowing you to play the game differently, tough maverics to defeat, and a particular cameo rivalry that will make a fan of the original feel giddy with excitement. The game has fantastic controls, feels fast, has smart level design, and ruthless yet fair boss fights. One of the negatives of this title would have to be its music. There must have been only two tracks that stood out and had the adrenaline-fueled vibe from the previous titles. These ...

  • Actually, it's a 3.5, but this is a let down after X2.

Pros: Love the graphics, soundtrack is decent, many upgrade features. Cons: Terrible sound/music quality compared to X & X2, very difficult, even for a Mega Man X pro, some of the music is bad, not as fun as X2. I sort of like this game, and it's worth buying, since I have a SNES collection going, and I have booth X & X2, but this game is a let down after X2. If this was X2 and X2 was X3, then the SNES MMX lineup would probably be much better. The maverick soundtracks are very good though, but it doesn't come close to X2, which is the best MMX game of all time. I guess they wanted to fit enhanced graphics on that cartridge instead of sound quality like they did on both X & X2. After X3, I didn't care for X4 (and up) at all.

  • The best megaman

One is the best from the whole run, really recommended it to everyone. Don’t miss out this amazing game

  • Most challenging and thrilling Mega Man for SNES

Mega Man X3 was a follow-up from the hit game "Mega Man X2", and the game fits very well in the series. Mega Man X3 takes the elements of gameplay from its first two predecessors and adds many more features to the game such as optional suit chips, varying armor suits not previously seen in the series beforehand, the ability to finally take control of Zero and wreak havoc on multitudes of enemies, and more. Same graphic quality as the first two games, however the weapon animations are even more beautiful. The multiple upgrades, changes in plot, and the game's difficulty help maintain high replay value.
