The Best of the Best
The color is outstanding, the extras provided are great entertainment, the scenes added from outtakes are refreshing, and it's a story I have loved since I was in high school back in 1957. This will be a treasured asset to my extra-special collection that I will never tire of watching. I knew from reading reviews that it was going to be good, but I'm overwhelmed with just "how" good it truly is. So am I a fan of Cary Grant? Of course. But many of his movies I give away after just one (enjoyable) viewing. Classic For All- Special to Me
When I was about 19 years old, I was a rock & roll loving trouble making, youth. My idea of a great movie was something that involved crime/drugs/sex/etc. My Grandmother became ill and needed quad bypass heart surgery. While recovering, she contracted a staff infection and was transferred to a different hospital that could better care for her. I drove an hour and a half 3+ days per week against rush hour traffic to spend time visiting her. While visiting, "An Affair to Remember" came on TV and she told me it was a favorite of hers. She explained that there were 2 or 3 versions, but the one with Carey Grant was the BEST! I glanced at the screen but couldn't get past the fact that it was black & white.
