About this product

Product Information

When five high school students from different social groups are forced to spend a Saturday together in detention, they find themselves interacting with and understanding each other for the first time. A jock (Emilio Estevez), a criminal (Judd Nelson), a princess (Molly Ringwald), a basket case (Ally Sheedy), and a brain (Anthony Michael Hall) talk about everything from parental tension to sex to peer pressure to hurtful stereotypes while serving time. Ultimately, the five find that they may have more in common than they ever imagined and learn more about themselves as well as each other. The only question is, Will they remember what they've learned after they leave detention? Director and writer John Hughes, along with the stellar Brat Pack, cast makes this a memorable, moving film filled with believable dialogue, intelligent humor, and a sufficient dose of high school hijinx. Its timeless appeal makes this film a teen classic along with Hughes's other teen films from the 1980s: SIXTEEN CANDLES and FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF. A great soundtrack features the hit "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by Simple Minds.

Well, love the little cup and most of condition was shown in photos. For sone reason, there was a vertical crack not shown and vase made the sound associated with cracked pottery when “flicked” with finger. Remarkably, the cup arrived intact. IMO packaging was not the best. Seller refunded shipping back and cost of item. We added another box for its return trip and it is back with seller. Seller was responsive after notified of crack. Wish it had been shown on photos.

Sorry to hear you were unhappy with the vase. Lots of crazing and nicks were pictured on this piece as it is quite old. As always a full refund was issued and I received the item back in the same condition it was sent, safe and sound! Thank you!

  • A must-see for anyone who works in education

The Breakfast Came out in 1985. As a specimen of '80s pop-culture, this is as good as it gets. The soundtrack to this movie could not be more '80s, with songs that rely heavily on keyboards and synthesizers. The most notable song, of course, is Simple Minds Don't You Forget About Me. Other songs such as "Heart Too Hot to Hold" do a fantastic job of capturing the hormone-riddled atmosphere that pervades high school. Also, the movie does a fantastic job of capturing '80s decor--in the school. As a movie, this is a 5/5. It combines comedy, with plenty of soundbites, with drama. The movie is about five teenagers from very different backgrounds who are forced to spend a day together in detention. It stars Molly Ringwald, Emilio Estevez, Ally Sheedy, Judd Nelson, Anthony Michael Hall, ...

  • Breakfast Club Rocks!

This Film is a classic about a group of high schoolers on detention with all the stereotypical roles being casted, the jock, the queen, the outcast, the geek, the stoner!! Though a day on detention anywhere else would never be like the one Hollywood has portrayed it certainly is an enjoyable soul-searching coming of age film. To call it a comedy alone would be an injustice as it has many of the elements as found in dramas. A keeper for sure but perhaps better in the DVD format!

  • The Breakfast Club

VHS movies seem to be headed the way of the beta max movies. Finding certain ones in good shape can be trying. i have found on e bay that is not so. The Breakfast Club looks at a small group of teen agers that are not a click and not friends. They have nothing in common ... or so they thing. After a day in a room together they see theirselves through the eyes of various types, a jock, a princess, a brain, a criminal, and a basket case. What they see is that we are a bit of all things in life. It is funny and yet serious, Eye opening yet hopeful. A must own movie because you can't ever see it to many times.

  • Great Movie for Our young Folks.

I really like this movie because it show different personalitys of our younger generations trying to survie life in High school. I saw this movie when it first came out & my 14 year old saw it one day on TV & she like it alot. She asked me to buy it for her, so I did. Cause I know she relates to it. I know this is a movie that our younger generation would really enjoy. I wish they still made movies like this still. Not like the ones now, with sex & drugs. We need clean movies for our kids. This is one I approve of. There is nothing I don't like about this movie, I can see it over and over again. I love Molly Ringwall she is a wonderful actress. I pretty much love all her movies.

  • What’s up weird teens?

Necessary background for Pitch Perfect movies: Interesting movie about problems of teens in 1985. The teens with problems that landed them in detention help each other improve their mental health. More serious problems are there for teens in 2000’s Pitch Perfect movies. Helpful info for parents.
