Product Information

Heavy metal and animation collide in this program from the popular Adult Swim brand. The metal band Deathklok, which includes both Scandinavian and American members, has conquered the world, becoming far more influential than any band in music history. But with success comes danger and corruption, and most episodes of the show sees the band fending off the attentions of a shadowy organization known as the Tribunal, who attempt to bring the band's popularity to an abrupt halt. METALOCALYPSE is full of brutal cartoon violence (it's not unusual for audience members to die at Deathklok shows) that has won over countless fans from the heavy metal community. In this second season, the global economy tumbles when the band withdraws from the public eye and hits the studio to begin recording their new album. The collection presents every episode from the show's second season.

    metalocalypse Adult Swim Brendon Small

    For what I have seen Metalocalypse is without question one of Adult Swim greatest shows and of all time. The best thing 'bout the show is the story line, there will be a continuation of a event and characters from past episodes either from the previous seasons or last episode it leave you wanting more and excited for the next episode and season. Another great thing is the gore and violence it may not ba gory all the time but when it is it's great. it may not be as mush of a masterpiece as Brendon Small first shoe and my favorite show Home Movies but it's more ambitious and creative and deserve a spot in your collection.

    The Most Brutal Band In The World Continues...

    Everybody's favorite death metal force of nature Deathklok continues to dominate and dumb their way through season 2 of Cartoon Networks Metalocalypse series. This time around the episodes seem to focus more on the individual characters of the band and their flaws. Swisgaars insecurity about his guitar playing and Murderfaces facination with "weenie shaped objects" in particular. I found season 2 funny, but not as funny as season 1. Now the bad points: 1.) The new music. There just wasn't much of it! And there wasn't a single music video this whole season. 2.) The special features. Again not as many as last season, and some were of the "running gag" variey-it just continued from last season's set. Overall if you're a fan of the show and metal in general I'd say get it.     Good music, good show.

    The show centers around Dethklok, the biggest metal band in the world to the point where it is its own financial power. The bands play shows, weird hijinks ensue, people die, a mysterious group of individuals watch the band from afar, plotting in secret, the whole shabang. If you like Metal and comedy, it’s a good show to watch. Personally I do like the later seasons more but the first two have their charm as well.
