    Won't work on all computers

    I installed the program and hardware on my Windows 10 laptop and it would record for about 3-6 minutes and it would freeze. I would start the program again and it would show that the device wasn't connected I uninstalled the program and reloaded it but still had the same problem. I tried the program on another laptop and it worked good on it. I recorded the VCR 6 hour tape and it did fine. I'm happy with the Elgato Capture just wish it had worked on all computers. I would have been out of luck if I didn't have another computer.

    Does exactly what you want.

    This product is so easy to use. It's just a matter of downloading and installing the software from the company's website, plugging in the device, and you're ready to go. It has worked flawlessly from the moment I opened the box. I cannot recommend it highly enough, it's just a shame that the company has discontinued this product.

    Worked great.

    Worked great for converting old VHS tapes to MP4. Unfortunately it comes with an RCA cable but not an S-video cable. I had to procure that separately. The S-video cable produced markedly better results.
