I've had alot of speakers that were much better than these, but, they cost a heck of alot more. build quality seems very good for price asked, both used, and, new. produces a neutral sound, not too much bass, highs are somewhat lacking depth on some recordings, but, i'm picky. with respect to this class, cost, sound, and, name history, beats my other set of harmon kardons, destroys my basement akai bookshelfs, and, polks once owned. above averageI've had alot of speakers that were much better than these, but, they cost a heck of alot more. build quality seems very good for price asked, both used, and, new. produces a neutral sound, not too much bass, highs are somewhat lacking depth on some recordings, but, i'm picky. with respect to this class, cost, sound, and, name history, beats my other set of harmon kardons, destroys my basement akai bookshelfs, and, polks once owned. above average

Great bang for the buck
I already had a set of these speakers. They're better than satellite speakers because it's not just a tweeter. The midrange/woofer actually has pretty good bass. The tweeters have great highs. For 60 bucks for the pair you really can't get any better. I've had my first pair for almost 13 years. They still sound as good as the day I bought them. Those ones I paid 80 each for. Got the new ones for 60/pair. 10/10 would buy againI already had a set of these speakers. They're better than satellite speakers because it's not just a tweeter. Very good surround speakers
I heard these speakers years ago and was suitably impressed. I purchased a pair at a reasonable price and I highly recommend them as a value wall mount speaker. The N24 does a pretty good job of music reproduction, but they shine as surround speakers. The Northridge series is a nice alternative to Bose sound and a bit less $.

Owned the same set for 10 years. I bought a pair because I cracked the internal chip on one of them, I accidentally dropped it @ 4 feet on my tile floor (dropped it a few times @about he same height on carpet & it did not damage anything). It did not sustain external damage to housing or cones. And second is to keep the set up consistent for aesthetic reasons with my living room. So here's the verdict: Pro's: Good sound quality, Good longevity, Can sustain drops on carpet @ 4 feet & survived 5 military moves long as you keep the original box & packing material, cheap if bought used long as there's no physical damage to the externals & internals. Con's: Internal chip not robust to survive drops @4 feet on hard surface. Speakers cones & housing may be perfect, but if chip is cracked ... Owned the same set for 10 years.
