  • Madison's Notes of Debates

James Madison's detailed notes of the proceedings of the Constitutional convention in Philadelphia in 1787. This first person account is the classic account of these proceedings which were conducted in secret at the time. Madison identifies the key participants and keeps track of the daily progress of the debates that caused the Constitution to be promulgated and submitted to the states for debate and ratification. it is amazingly contemporary analyzing issues that remain important to this day. One thing everyone agreed on was that Genearl Washington would be the PResident of the Convention. He was chosen unanimously. What a tribute to this extraordinary man since his choice was one of the few things these extraordinary men agreed upon.

  • Current Affairs

I found the book very helpful in understanding the current political actions of Congress.
