I contracted with an energy provider that gives me a $65 discount if I reach a monthly power consumption of 1000 KWH. This Rainforest Energy monitor is exactly the tool I needed to monitor my power usage, at on occasion find out if I need to waste a few more KWH at the end of the month to reach the magic number. Happy with this - Very useful
This is very useful and much less expensive than similar equipment available just a couple of years ago. It not only makes it easy to see how much power we are using at home at a given moment, it can also provide a good indication of how much we pay to run our central A/C per hour and what it costs us on a given day. By unplugging it from the UL Listed A/C adapter provided and temporarily walking around with it, you can easily determine how much power a given appliance or light uses by noting power displayed before turning the device being checked on and then seeing how much the power indication goes up with it on.This is very useful and much less expensive than similar equipment available just a couple of years ago. It not only makes it easy to see how much power we are using at home at a given moment, it can also provide a good indication of how much we pay to run our central A/C per hour and what it costs us on a given day.
