bargain rack beastie
This was part of a bargain rack selection that the eBay seller never got around to watching. The Pom Pom Girls was in 4:3 "full screen" format and The Beach Girls was in a kind of strange 16x9 "pan and scan" to widescreen, which was just out and out strange at times when the lurch of camera movement and pan and scan accelerated the movement of the image, or somehow made people within the image appear to be moving while staying in the same spot. Seeing someone step forward and not move while the person he is stepping forward to talk to appears to move just feels wrong. This is actually a fairly good movie, is available as a good "fixed center point" 16x9 and works better that way. Parts of the story are out and out absurd, but most of it at least half of the way makes sense, and the ... The T and A within itself is worth the price
The Beach Girls: Not much of a story, but plenty of T & A. Recommended to all guys who are fans of Spike TV. Ideal movie to play in the background of a party scene. The Pom Pom Girls: Hardly any plot but gets highly nostalgic if you attended High School in the 70's or early 80's, the bell bottoms, hot rods, and recluse lifestyle.
