For the cell phone user who is big on functionality and also wants good value, the LG Optimus F6 MS500 - 4GB - Black (MetroPCS) Smartphone, is phone that checks all the boxes. Offered on the MetroPCS and T-Mobile network, the LG Optimus F6 is a compact device that feels comfortable in the hand due its’ smooth plastic design. In the world of cell phones the Optimus F6 is lightweight and small enough to carry in a small bag or back pocket. The external controls on the phone are easily accessible and include volume control, sleep or power button, a short cut key for one of the included apps, a micro USB port for charging and a 3.5mm jack for headphones. The back of the phone features a 5.MP camera and LED flash. Two speaker slits are positioned on the rear of the device as well. From the battery door, the SD card is accessible and cards of up to 32GB capacities are accepted by the F6. The display screen of the LG Optimus features a 4.5-inch viewing area with a respectable resolution of 960x540 pixels. The phone offers a bright, color accurate display that is sensitive to touch and allows for easy viewing. Over the display screen is a 1.3 MP camera for video chats, a home key, two white light hot keys, for back and menu. If the home key is long-pressed recently view apps can be recalled. The OS of the phone is the Android 4.21 Jelly Bean. It offers a collection of common Google apps, music portals, movies, TV etc. T-Mobile has also added a few of its’ own apps to these phones such as the option to access and check account information, T-Mobile My Account and apps that assist in configuring voice mail and the mobile hot spot for Wi-fi access. T-Mobile also offers a free trial to its T-Mobile TV content service. The MetroPCS version of this phone offers a 4GB hot spot, a 411 service, a privacy app, visual voice mail, ringtone, music streaming, news alerts and an app for accessing account infomation, i.e. MyMetro and MetroZone. T-Mobile and MetroPCS are both GSM

    Decent phone. Does most of what I want.

    This is a replacement that I bought for the same phone that got water damaged when I fell in a creek while fishing. It takes great pictures and does most everything I want. My only complaint is that it's internal memory is only 2GB and I often have to clear/remove programs because I cannot download new apps very easily. Unfortunately, Metro PCS has put a whole lot of their junk apps on this phone and I have to spend a lot of time removing them. This particular phone has a problem with hearing out of the earpiece for calls that I make. If I receive a call, I can hear it pretty well, otherwise I have to use the speaker feature. But, hey, what do you want for $40? I'm 52 years old and I don't live for my phone. It's a phone, it's a camera, its a portable computer when I absolutely ...

    The LG F6 is the perfect phone if you: 1. Want to easily move between (GSM) providers, pre-paid or post-paid. 2. Want to use your phone overseas and take advantage of the cheap prepaid service. 3. Want a decent 5 MP camera for the opportunistic shot and a front facing camera for the inevitable selfie. 4. Put a high value on battery life 5. Do not want to spend a house payment for a phone. 6. Are not a heavy user that needs huge storage and the latest "A-" or "S-" flagship. 7. Is the perfect 4.5" screen - The LG F6 is GSM (uses the ubiquitous Sim card) and unlocks for less than $5! Change domestic and international providers at will! - It costs a little over $100 new, and around $75 refurbished! - Storage is limited, but look at the 2 day battery life you get! No more lugging around ...

    Great phone, horrible storage (MetroPCS version)

    The phone is fantastic BUT be very cautious as far as purchasing one that was from MetroPCS. I ALWAYS do my homework and spent 2 days researching this phone and ccomparing it to other LG's. I previously had an Optimus Showtime from Straight Talk and it only had 2GB. The F6 is supposed to have 4GB but MetroPCS put bloatware (preinstalled and very unuseful apps) making the memory a bit of 1GB. I'm still trying to root my phone to get the apps off, so far no luck. I currently have only 4 apps installed and my phone will not allow anymore even with the 4 being installed on my SD card.
