    Irwin Marples chisle's

    I was surprised how flat the the backs were it took no time at all to flatten and hone. You could use straight out of box but invest 30 to 40 mins and you will get a ridiculously sharp chisle set that holds its edge very well. Plastic handles but focused on a work piece I never noticed. Cheaper solution than stanly definitely recomend.

    Nicely boxed set comes close to ready to use. Just a little sharpening touch up is helpful. Nicely weighted and balanced, comfortable handles. These seem nicer and more finished out of the box than my Stanleys were.

    My third set

    That's because I've given the first two to my sons. A really good set of chisels. Ergonomic handles, nicely balanced. Hard enough to hold an edge without being too brittle. They got it right! I highly recommend these Marples/Irwin chisels. A real value. And no woodworker should be without a set.

    A great workmans set of chisels

    A quality working set- not highly polished but can use out of the box -steel is work rated high -tool balance and feel very doable.

    Nice Chisel set

    Only problem is that the box we received has a small dent on it and inside of the box has blue stains. The set does seam to be new. Can't figure out how did that happen
