    Porsche 911 Story by Paul Frere

    I found this book to be my best 911 read to date as it gives a excellant mix personal & professional backgrounds during the conception, design & development process of THE Porsche. Lists the early developments in the handling & safety. There are some facinating facts for anyone thinking of 911 restoration e.g. the external differences between the 221 & 227cm wheelbase versions. Comparions between & interchangeable parts of 911 2.7, Carrera 2.7, Carrera 2.7 Safari, Carrera RS 3.0, Carrera RSR 3.0, Carrera RSR Turbo 2.14 & the Turbo 3.0 The book includes details of all model varients, with appendicies listing year by year changes as well as providing extensive details of competition successes. A must have read for the 911 restorer.
