    Not for newer pc's

    The Epson scanner was designed to work on older windows systems and this installation disk will not help on newer systems like Win8 - my intention is to copy the disk to a thumb drive and install it on a XP machine (yeah, I still use one of those) if it works on that machine it will be great to have my scanner back.

    Scanner for slides and negatives

    I bought it because I needed to scans slides and negatives. It took me a long time to get the scanner operational. I discovered after many download attempts that the USB cable that I received with the scanner was defective. Then I needed the Smart Panel software, which wasn't available as a download. Fortunately I had a CD from a 1670 scanner that worked. The seller and Epson were very helpful in resolving these problems. The scanner images are very good, although scanning slides takes several tries because portions of some slides don't scan properly. This seems to be a problem with positioning the four slides in the holder, but I haven't been able to figure out exactly why.

    You have to use the excellent scanning program to get to work with Windows 10.If you one mach sure that the lid lite is working or it's not the photo or it' not a photo version.
