About this product

Product Information

Nightmare of Druaga is a hack-and-slash dungeon crawler, with lots of action and little pretension. In the role of an intrepid warrior, players advance by defeating various monsters and improving their characteristics with the loot and experience they gain, then moving on to face more powerful opponents. The game is set in a familiar fantasy environment, home to numerous underground caverns and dungeons that are teeming with nasty baddies. A multiple fighting styles and a variety of weapon choices are available. The adventure is saved at the end of each level, but players cannot save at will or keep multiple save files, adding to the challenge.

  • Frustrating hard...for some reason

This game so stupidly hard I ended up using a CodeBreaker to finish it. And when I finished it, IT STILL WASN'T FINISHED. You have a find a rod to rescue your fiancee and bring peace to the world and then Gil decides he wants to return it! WHY?????? The battle system was pretty cool, but that's about it. All the side quests, no matter what level you are at, return you back to level 1 with a weak weapon, the logic for this is that...THERE IS NO LOGIC!!! Every time you die, and lose 1/2 your money. Oh, one more thing, if you turn off your game while playing, without saving, when you start over, the game will get mad at you for trying to cheat! Not truly horrible with cheat codes. Recommended for RPG video game masochists.

  • Nightmare of Druaga: Fushigino Dungeon (PS2)

For the price its a game Avid RPG players should check out. The graphics are so-so and there is no voice-over's. The game-play is not totally expendable and all of the customization options make it worthwhile to keep moving up the dreadful tower. The only bad part is if you die while in the tower you lose all your items and half your money so its kind of an unforgivable game. But for the price which is usually around 7-14 dollars even brand new, its worth the buy.
