Awesome camera, fast shipping, well packaged. I feel like the Description was updated unexpectedly right before I pulled the trigger. I didn’t realize it had any issues until post sale. But I was able to get the flash working again with minor cleaning. So no harm no foul. I’m happy with the purchase and seller. Would purchase from again.

    beast of a lens

I was heavily debating between this lens and the Sony Zeiss 55mm 1.8 because of it's similar price point and image quality. I went with this one because I need the mechanical manual focus of this lens for cinematography. But now that I got it, I absolutely love it; it's my go to lens. The weight is nice and heavy which I actually prefer. It does not feel plasticky at all and is extremely dense; you can tell there is a lot of glass crammed into that space and it shocked me when I first held it. Great buy, I plan on going the sigma route for the rest of my Sony glass.

Sharp image, extremely heavy lens. NOT MADE TO LAST, lens body is wobbly and coming apart, problems with focusing since first year.

We have a photographer community that really like Sigma Art Lenses. After reading many articles, reviews and product comparisons, I decided to go with this lens with high expectations. After about a year of regular use, the lens is coming apart. I have a sony lens that I have used on its side and its still going solid. At first, the autofocus started failing, and the lens wasn't detected by the camera in the middle of photoshoots. Right now, the lens is all loose and I feel it will come apart in any second. Notice the wide gap the lens has in the middle, right beside the white text, also in the video. I take care extreme care of my equipment, keep it in a padded case, and I never lend it to anyone. Great lens for portraits and all around use, super fast aperture, the images are ...

  • Great Lens

I rented this lens before purchasing to ensure I would like it's quality despite its noticeable weight. It's an AMAZING lens. Extremely worth the money. I love this focal length, but any of the Sigma Art lenses will impress you.

  • Best 50mm hands down

Pro’s that have used this on their DSLR bodies know it’s an amazing lens. For beginners who complain it’s to heavy, I have nothing to say to you. I came from the canon 1DX mk III and I’m happy to say the quality between mounts is still the same. Paired with the 62MP a7rIV this thing delivers!!! I highly recommend this lens. For those who would say to wait until they come out when the smaller compact version. Keep in mind, you’re losing potential clients and building your portfolio, all for the reduction of .5-1lbs. Those of you who wants quality now so that you can build your business, this is the lens!

Sharp and and fast focus. Great in low light if you have something bright enough to attach your focus to. It’s a heavy lens. It doesn’t bother me at all. I’m very pleased with this lens and endorse it to any photographer.
