Condition of item as stated, arrived safely, thank you. I had multiple items purchased from seller so honestly can’t answer shipping cost questions because all items sent in one package. Don’t recall if reduced shipping cost was given or not.

Fascinating but flawed supposedly true story of an alien abduction.

Typical plot of man disappears, given up for dead, and then miraculously returns. Would have worked just as well without the alien abduction setup.

  • Travis Walton Meets Some Bad Aliens

PROS: Great story; very good special effects; very good acting. CONS: Movie moves along a little slow. I read about Travis Walton's true experience for the first time at the age of 14--the second one after reading about the Betty and Barney Hill abductions in LIFE magazine in the late 1960s. I figured there must be something to all of this alien encounter stuff which blew me away. With great excitement I purchased the FIRE IN THE SKY DVD and I wasn't disappointed. D. B. Sweeney does a spectacular job portraying Travis Walton and one will see familiar faces from cinema and television throughout the movie which added to its credibility. (The movie appeared to be a serious production effort not a B rated horror flick.) For the people even remotely interested in the UFO phenomenon, ...

  • It Could Not Be

Being a person in the subject of UFOs and aliens I found many things that could not be according to what the subject is known to be by authorities. For one thing the UFO would have had to be too big for Travis to float down where he did. He would not have been able to breathe in the loss of gravity. Why didn't the gas station attendent call the police of paramedics when Travis is curled up nude in front of the gas station? Why didn't the authorities disclose the results of the first lie-detector test to the boys? They were told it takes all night for the results when the results were said to the other men, after the boys left. I found about 7 more things wrong with the movie that I cannot think of right now. I was told by a ufologist friend of mine that the movie is not ...

  • Good movie, but don't expect a typical alien movie, expect a drama.

This movie is interesting. I'd noticed a trend in about 4 or 5 alien movies, and this one seems to be the first I can find. Everyone who's seen the 4th kind remembers the White Owl. It is a centrical element of the plot. My older generations here may remember another movie, Communion, with Christopher Walken. We see here the exact same plot device used, where upon trying to recall his Abductors faces, all he can remember seeing is looking into the face of an Owl. This is essentially the plot of the 4th kind. With the connection in mind, I began noticing that Abduction films across history, all have the same trend with the White Owl. Fire in the Sky, we see a stuffed White Owl looking down at the group who just experienced the Abduction of their friend. This happens right as the crew ...

  • "NOT YOUR ORDINARY FIRE"

According to the real Travis Walton this movie doesn't quite capture the entire story in retail of what actually happened but that's not to say this movie didn't live up to the story that was told. I love this movie & it deserves a remake if their is much more to tell I'm sure after watching the real Travis Walton interview I was convinced that the abduction took place & looking into his eyes it was clear that it still terrifies him even to this day. I'd recommend this film to anyone who wishes to see one of the very true abduction cases on the big screen & witness the phenomenon first hand that we are not alone in the distant stars.
