Product Information

Sega's exclusive rights to the Olympic Games continues with Beijing 2008, which includes 38 events held in official Chinese venues. Players will compete in such locales as the Beijing National Stadium and the National Aquatics Centre as they engage in track-and-field, aquatics, gymnastics, equestrian, weightlifting, and other indoor and outdoor competitions for both men and women. Motion-captured animation and multiple camera angles offer a broadcast-style presentation.<br><br>Online support with voice chat is included for international players to represent their country and attempt to shatter world records. The main aspect of play involves following the 15-day Olympic schedule with a custom team. After each qualifying event, players can develop their team's statistics and attributes to improve their medal chances in the finals. UK developer Eurocom's previous experience in the genre was with the multi-platform release of Athens 2004.

    Deep and Challenging

    So, if you love the Olympics, and if you like technical gaming, then this is probably a good one for you. If you like arcade style action, and something that's just downright fun once you turn it on, don't buy it. I've only had the game for a couple of days, and I'm actually scared to turn it back on. Every event has a different style of control, which I think is actually cool. But that means having to learn how to do each event, which is also pretty cool. That means there's a ton of gameplay ahead of me, and that's cool. But I buy games to sit down after work and relax and have fun. This game ain't it. Like I said, I'm scared to turn it back on. Also, another feature is that you are ranked against other players of the game across the world (I'm guessing). My first forays into ...

    The best since '92 Olympic Gold

    This game is awesome!!! Some sports has difficult comands, but I'm sure that I'll have many hours of fun, cause I don't think that I can be good in all events. I highlight those sports: all of track & field (specially triple and high jump, javelin & hammer), the swimming ones, gymnastics (floor) and archery.

    very fun, kinda hard to control... takes practice!!!!!

    its alot of fun once you get going. it does take alot of practice. its one of those games that you will NEVER master and there is always room for progression and advancement of your score. not like guitar hero where once you hit 100% its over... you can always get a better score on this...

    A+ fast shipping, cheap price,item as decsribed

    I bought Beijing 08 on Ps3 and it is an ok game, very hard but fun. I bought it because i wanted something different to play and it really is.... it has a lot of events that u can do on there. the graphics are not so great, but it dosent really matter for a game like this.

    It didn´t arrive yet.

    I´ve written the feedback in the wrong product, what a mistake. This buying is not closed. I´m waiting for the game. At least the tracking number is ok and lets see if de USPS Mail Service will delevery it in next days.
