The lens arrived in excellent condition. Very well packaged and exactly as it appeared in the description. I highly recommend the seller. The only problem is the rates that DHL charges buyers. They are too high, much higher than FedEx or Japan Post. I had to pay 50% of the purchase value. Thank you.

Condition was exactly as described, the camera arrived in perfect condition with obvious care given to packing. I ordered on 1/29 and the package arrived on 2/2...from Japan, no less! Seller was responsive to my inquiries about signature requirements. All in all, a 100% positive experience. Would order from them again!

What a great seller! The lens is exactly as described--actually, better than described. His communication is fantastic, his packing is top notch and his shipping is lightning fast all the way here to the US from Japan. Highly recommended. If you're in the US, don't worry about buying from Japan from this seller, he's honest and reliable.

    Excellent value for the money

I know every one prefers the AF-S lenses for a variety of reasons (faster focus, quiet focus for video, etc) but his lens is fantastic! The Bokeh is superb and creamy. There is so little glass to move for focusing that the camera's drive motors brings the focus tack sharp almost instantly. It's a heavily built, butter smooth little jewel. It is a very fast lens. I routinely use this lens for indoor and low light events without a flash. The 50 mm lens on my crop sensor D500 acts as a short telephoto for portrait work as well. In truth, this is one of the least expensive, highest quality, and versatile lenses I have ever owned.

  • Nikon Doesn't Make a Bad Lens!

OK, understand, a 1.4 is all about dark environs, good subject separation and likable bokeh. This is as fine a sample of all that as you will find. Sharpness, shmarkness...of course it is plenty sharp! Do YOU use a tripod in clubs and darkish parties? (I think not) so don't compare this to the megabuck Summicron, whose "legendary" qualities you or I will never exploit hand held at a shady party. This lens does EXACTLY what it's supposed to do. It's also plenty sharp at f/5.6-8. Sharpness closed down can be had a lot cheaper in the f/1.8. The f/1.4 has all the sharpness you'd ever need, unless you're doing copy work...that's another lens... If you are a Nikon fan and you aren't clinging to one of their old, all metal-bodied manual focus f/1.4 wunderlenses, get one now. This is a great ...

  • Great Prime "normal" lens.

This lens is better made than current models and allows full control of aperture and focus. It is great if your camera model has a built in autofocus motor. You can read an entire review on Ken Rockwell's website.

  • Normal Lens

Match with old model of Nikon camera which it has internal motor for auto focus. Recommend to mount with Nikon APS-c dSLR camera and you can shoot open lens to f/1.4 picture is still sharp. But it was not good in f/1.4 with full frame camera .

  • Nikon 50mm f1.4

A must-have lens for portraits and low-light situations for full frame and DX cameras. Very sharp imaging even at wide open aperture with great broken. Highly recommend for use as standard lens.
