Defiantly worth a few bucks. Don't go for full price though.
Very cool game all around. This game came truly as a surprise to me. The main reason I purchased it was because I didn't want to spend a lot of money and I needed something new to play. As soon as I popped the disk in, entertainment enveloped me. This game takes from so many good games and puts the pieces in place almost perfectly, starting you off with an 'Uncharted' feel it quickly turns into 'God of War' with its quick fighting and attacks that can be progressed, and then transgresses to a 'Final Fantasy 13' linear approach. Their is also much strategy and problem solving to be had within this title. Give it a try if you want something you have had before, and for an all original experience at the same time. Don't worry the girl almost looks after herself so no big problem with her ... Very cool game all around. This game came truly as a surprise to me. Gameplay - 8/10 | Story - 9/10 | Graphics - 10/10 | Sound - 10/10 | Replay Value - 7/10 | Overall - 8.8/10 | GAMEPLAY | Not too easy, not too hard. Although the basic gameplay engine isn't the most original, the way it's implemented is innovative & fantastic. Enslaved introduces a lot of new, solid mechanics with plenty of fresh ideas to add to the normal climbing action-adventure engine: the Cloud is awesome, & the tag-team system between the two main characters works very well (not like you, Resident Evil 5!) Coupled with creative weapon designs, superior animations, & great sound effects, the combat is a blast. The gameplay paces itself & you never find yourself doing the same thing twice--there's always something new tossed in; it never gets repetitive. The camera is a little ... Gameplay - 8/10 | Story - 9/10 | Graphics - 10/10 | Sound - 10/10 | Replay Value - 7/10 | Overall - 8.8/10 | GAMEPLAY | Not too easy, not too hard. My main issue is the lack of open-exploring: you can only really jump where the designers want you to, which helps a lot but makes the levels a little linear and takes the fun out of exploring the beautifully designed maps. | STORY | The strongest point of the game. The game is very character-driven, & with good reason--the two main characters are incredibly believable. The facial animations create realistic emotions to make a strong connection with the characters. To me there are two parts of the game: the first part is before the third character is introduced, and the second part is after. The first part is stronger as you single-handedly try to keep a girl alive from slaver mechs. The second part... it sort of lost me there, I felt the third character introduced a sour, uglier, more vulgar tone to the game. Since it was no longer "you & me against the world," it lost some of its enticement along with the feeling of lonely camaraderie: the character bond weakened. The story still pulls as effectively as gravity, but the game's rather short--took me just less than 10 hours to finish on normal difficulty, and I was messing around quite a bit trying to get me some more tech orbs! | GRAPHICS | Beautiful, just beautiful. Can't complain about a thing. The art direction adds to this: the design of the mechs, the character's styling, the incredibly innovative staff & Cloud. They somehow even make a guy wearing a headband work out! Bottom line: graphics & art design are simply amazing. Like Assassin's Creed, you can buy it just to enjoy the scenery. | SOUND | Not much to say because I can't complain! Voice acting deserves a special shout-out as it is so utterly amazing. Everything else is perfect, from the sound of a staff hitting metal to a plasma discharge to a mech shooting electric bolts to a titan stomping across a wasteland. The music deserves a shout-out, too: you might not notice it all that much, but only because it augments the already beautiful world. When you first get the Cloud, you'll see what I mean! | REPLAY | As great as the story & characters are, they can only keep you hooked for 2 or 3 playthroughs. Besides achievements there's not too much else you can do, because, like I said, there's only one way you can really go on the levels, so there's not a whole lot of open exploring. | BOTTOM LINE | I got it for $30, which I felt was a little much for what it is. You might want to try a little lower ($25 or less) but you should definitely buy this game! If the game was longer it would merit full price--as it is, AMAZING EXPERIENCE! You'll remember Trip & Monkey long after you finish. Not Pigsy.

Fast fun and delightful adventure..totally underated.
Monkey and Tripp take you on a very busy and dangerous adventure to avenge the death of Tripp's father. Great story along with some fast action all the way through. This game is a sleeper that really didn't get much attention at release but don't let that fool you. This is a fun time for anyone that enjoys adventure games. Since there is no multi-player with this game the replay value just isn't there but it's still a good time. I'd rate this game 8.5/10.Monkey and Tripp take you on a very busy and dangerous adventure to avenge the death of Tripp's father. Great story along with some fast action all the way through. ENSLAVED - Best Game Ever!
Best Game Ever!, well not really but I did really enjoy it. It has a better than average story, and the game play is fun and engaging. The platforming elements are forgiving which helped with some of the usual frustration I get from platforming games. What I liked best though were the characters and the relationship that develops between them during the course of the game. I really liked them and cared about what happened to them. That was the main driving force for me in continuing the game especially when some of the game play became repetitive. They really are the best characters I have seen in a recent game. The game play does slow down a little in parts and the combat can be repetitive. And the rhino chase was a pain, I hated that part. Also, there is not much to do with the game once ... Best Game Ever!, well not really but I did really enjoy it. It has a better than average story, and the game play is fun and engaging.
