voodoo instructions if it won't mount, or won't stay mounted, w10x64
A GP-100 from Sonicake wouldn't mount on w11x64, nor when I downgraded to w10x64 from which I'm still recovering. This Ampero One from them as a replacement shipped with v1.1A firmware; one of these instructions for w10x64 is unnecessary but we'll never know which one it is: - go to Hotone's support page for all their previous software versions; - install the earliest asio/usb driver and editor, restart, fail to mount, then move up the historical line of software iterations. A usb 3.0/3.1? port worked finally, but then it didn't work under identical circumstances earlier; a 2.0 port seemed to work then didn't; I used ccleaner to uninstall and clean registry between installations but gave up on that, you can over-install new and old software without reinstalling; I wound up bouncing ... Written when the Hotone coders were in diapers. So it's not my now w10x64 nor updated chipset drivers nor my personality that kept the GP-100 and Ampero One from connecting. Updated firmware, updated to latest editor, haven't connected since so fingers and toes crossed for connecting when FW1.03 comes out. 2 cores vs Stomp's 3; apparently top of the line a couple of years ago's D/A vs Stomp's more recent; same Fx?; in all pretty pleased with the mods, don't begin to care about amps nor cabs, but what really impresses is a 5 string bass' open low B two octaves down through Sub&Up which just flaps the woofer, sounds dead to me but as high pitches irritate dogs, a whale somewhere is getting real annoyed with me playing subsonics. Steinberger 5, or else I'd put a hipshot on and take it down to a low F and start an earthquake. Get both.

For the price, you can't beat it. It's everything you need in one pedal. Has a lot of great presets, but you can adjust them to create your own sound. Small, portable and you can connect headphones or any speaker with an aux. jack so it makes the perfect practice amp or home recording studio. I haven't tried any of the more expensive modelling amp pedals, but this one sounds great, and for under $250, you can't go wrong.For the price, you can't beat it.
