With the 4th Generation Apple TV HD digital media streamer you can be entertained with all your favorite music, games, TV shows, and movies. For owners of a Mac, you also have the opportunity to stream content from the Mac over to the Apple TV using its AirPlay functionality. The Apple TV is simply controlled with the Siri Remote, which features a touchpad that lets you navigate with the swipe of a finger, not to mention the microphone which picks up voice commands for the Siri personal assistant functionality. The remote also serves as your controller when playing games on the Apple app store. With built-in Bluetooth connectivity, you also have the opportunity if you so choose to link up a Bluetooth keyboard for easier searching.     While the seller ultimately resolved all the issues, this was not a very pleasant eBay transaction. The title and description said New Sealed, item came open and used. Handling time was 3 days, item did not ship until 7 days. Shipping was stated as Priority shipping, item came Ground shipping. They did accept my return and issued a full refund, however that took time and all could have been avoided by accurately describing the item being sold. Would have been better off just going to a store.

    Happy With Our Apple TV HD Box!

    I ordered the 4th generation Apple TV HD box in order to get the Spectrum app on our TCL TV, after disconnecting our cable provider. This is our 2nd Apple TV HD box. It was very easy to set up, easy to use, & performs well. The top part of the remote takes some practice using with the tracking feature, as there are no labels. We also received a free year of Apple TV with the purchase. This new Apple TV box was competitively priced & would recommend to those looking to replace your cable provider.

    Frustrating to set up!

    First of, it was difficult to enter Apple ID, password. There was no easy way to get to the characters you want entered in the ID and password boxes. If you make a mistake and click the wrong side of the remote controller, you get bounced off and have to start over. If you have a strong password, forget it, as you have to scroll through each spaces to get to All Caps or special characters. I bought this because I read that even without an internet connection you can set it up using your iPhone's hotspot. Finally, after so many tries, I got it to work, but then it would pause and lock me out, so I had to turn everything off and start over. I had to go back to using Apple's Digital A/V adapter to enjoy AirPlay.

    Apple 4 TV great product

    If you own another Apple product this is a breeze to set up. Just get the other device in close proximity and it does the rest with WiFi settings and Apple ID settings. The ability to add apps is a nice plus over the Apple 3 TV. Integrated Apple products casting from Facebook video is simple and doesn’t require extra apps like fire and (Roku). The Siri remote is a nice feature as is the rechargeable battery on the remote. The up/down arrows for navigating have been removed and replaced with trackpad/click sensitivity on the top of the remote. That’s a little tricky to get the hang of and I prefer the simplicity of up/down arrows, but I guess it does let one move more quickly over the screen.

    Used to have Roku...

    If you have a streaming device and already own an iPhone, then I would highly recommend this product. It's Apple so of course you're going to have to buy a case for the remote, otherwise it's hard to tell which was is up or even hold since it's so small. To be able to screen mirror and cast video right to the TV is amazing. The controls are all intuitive and it feels more like using a computer than other streaming devices. So many tricks to it to, like suspending apps in the background and going to others. Bouncing between Netflix, Prime, YouTube, Spectrum, is just so easy. Being able to use your phone as a remote and to type is great too. I hated using the directional pad on my Roku to go back and forth between every letter and God forbid you made a typo! Before I actually owned this I ...

    Apple TV is Great!

    Apple TV is great like all the other Apple products we have. Because we are so familiar with Apple phones and devices having Apple TV just fits well. We primarily purchased this for watching internet TV and it streams a great picture. We can also sync our devices on the TV by screen mirroring which is just one of the many features with Apple TV. There are many more things we’ve yet to learn & experiment with.
