        Childhood hero

        I bought this DVD for my son who will be 58 in February. He loved watching Mr. Rogers when he was young. I had watched the video and knew this would be perfect to give my son as part of his birthday package.

        I loved this movie in the theater and hoped to use it in my teaching.

        The DVD does not function and there is a crack in the center ring, even though I opened the package for the first time and was marked new. Please advise on how to return it. Thank you, Nancy Ward

        Wonderful movie - must see!

        This is a wonderful video about a terrific human being. What we need in America now and in the world today are more people like Fred Rogers. Every parent and parent to be should see this movie. Very moving experience and I grew up as a teen making fun of him. What a revelation.

        A must have for fans of Mister Rogers.

        If your looking for an in depth look at the life and times of Fred Rogers, this DVD is for you. This will give you the strait scoop on how the man lived and how he shaped early childhood development, and how he actually save PBS from ruin and death. This DVD is well worth the money spent, and a good prelude to watching the "Mister Rogers Movie".

        Fred Rogers, I Never Knew You

        Just watched the film "It's A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood". Didn't expect to be crying through half the movie. A bitter, angry young journalist is sent to interview Rogers. Fred saves this young man's "emotional life". So, I had to buy this documentary that was made the year before. I was 12 or 13 when I first saw his show. I didn't understand this strange man. An ordained minister who never talks about God succeeds at making little kids feel better about themselves. Due to this documentary I was able to see the real man and understand completely just how great he was.
