        Excellent drip coffee maker - the best?

        This would be a five-star review, save for the fact that there is no documented way to use an internal Breville water filter in it. There is a recess in the water tank that is shaped to fit a Breville water filter, but no instructions. I'll try it anyway... The coffee maker is beautiful, well made, functional and brews a great pot of coffee. It allows nearly infinite "tweaking" to brew drip coffee the way you like it, and its PID-controlled water temperature is excellent. I really love it, except for the filter head-fake.

        Better than Technivorm

        I used to drink americanos and nothing but. Until this excellent pour over style machine. I roast my own beans and rebuild vintage espresso machines for a hobby. I've got a Breville Oracle Touch and wanted something to provide coffee to the masses. This machine is it! I've figured out the right roast and grind with a strong brew and cone filter for the best cup of joe I've ever made at home. The best part is that it's repeatable. Every morning and for hours after I can enjoy hot fresh Java. I love it. Oh yeah, I've tried an older Technivorm and found it lacking. I don't see how there's such a following for those machines. This one is similar but modern. Also better. Did I mention I love this machine? I love it.

        Breville Thermal Coffee Maker

        This replaced our very old coffee maker. What a difference in taste. Like the clear water tank with easy fill marking. Two piece filter choice is good too. The thermal container keep the coffee hot
