A high quality grater for home.
This grater is easy to use, and with a harder cheese (Parmigiano-Reggiano is why we bought it) the cheese comes out in a soft, beautiful, almost powdery form. And it's able to be disassembled for cleaning. This is the "restaurant quality" grater from Zeiss. There are two types, and both are priced similarly. It's a quality product, perfect for use in our home. There won't be any turning back to regular, grocery store, pre-grated Parmigiano. We've had several of these type of graters, that fell apart shortly after the first use. This one is made much sturdier and grinds much better. It also has a 5 year warranty. Great product.

Zyliss makes the BEST!!!
No self-respecting Italian would ever put Parmesan cheese in a green can on their table!! I used to grate the wedge in a food processor (or with a box grater) and store the grated cheese in the fridge. It would lose it's flavor. The Zyliss grater is restaurant quality, with razor sharp stainless steel blades. This gadget really cranks out a ton of cheese in just a few turns of the handle!! I was so-o-o thrilled with it, I bought another for my camper!! It's easy to clean too. (Never put ANY sharp stuff in your dishwasher as it will dull the blades, and they just won't last as long as they would if you hand-washed.) But I LOVE IT!! Great durable rotary grater
Good, well-designed rotary grater that can grate nuts as well as cheese, and does not seem likely to break as others have. We love freshly grated cheese, and I'm tired of scraping knuckles on box graters, so this is already getting used regularly. It takes a little effort to take apart for cleaning, because grating tightens the pieces that unscrew, but that's to be expected.
