Going in I knew there'd be damages due to the photo of the leaking varta battery. Upon receiving this I immediately clipped off the battery and desoldered the keyboard connector since I needed to look under it. Sure enough a trace had been severed by corrosion. I spent some time cleaning the corrosion with vinegar and alcohol. I found the traces via and soldered a bodge in to repair it. I installed a VGA card into it and moment of truth. Then saw the glorious AMI bios boot screen!
