    Building on the success of the GBA's acclaimed Advance Wars series, Battalion Wars brings the cartoon combat and sophisticated strategy to GameCube, in real-time. Originally titled "Advance Wars: Under Fire," Kuju Entertainment's take on Intelligent Design's whimsical war-gaming shifts the play to a much more action-oriented perspective. <br><br>Instead of a wide, static overview of the battlefield, players take control of a single character, who can issue orders to other soldiers and squads in the heat of the fight. Through a third-person control scheme somewhat reminiscent of the Pikmin games, the player can direct different units and groups toward different objectives, while blasting away at nearby enemies with their controlled character. Players can switch to control any friendly character in view with the press of a button.<br><br>The game is set on War World, and is designed to offer the same mix of cute characters and intense warfare that won fans for the handheld Advance Wars games. A number of familiar Commanding Officer characters are present, along with several new personalities -- both friend and foe.

      Fast paced rts battlefield game, great play value

      It is a very fun game, The learning curve is steep at first, but managing a battlefield game should test your mental acuteness. Different units,, abilities, and coordinating how when and where to attack is fast paced and fun, but you can pause to the map and take a breather while planning overall strategy. Good AI for the time, and great gameplay. Humerous also. Really enjoy it.

      Game disc is unreadable, quality wasn't checked.

      game worked for the first 5 minutes of the game and then it will not read. I tried cleaning the disc and it didn't help

      Second time buying this game, wish I wouldn't have gotten rid of it the first time. Classic RTS, like Advance Wars for the GBA but real time instead of turn based.
