An obscure classic that needs to be seen!
Tsukikage Ran is a classic that is unfortunately obscure to most anime fans today. The main character, Ran, is a wandering samurai who helps out whoever she pleases and just lives however she pleases, albeit for the most part always broke and going hungry often. This basically is a slice-of-life/action/comedy anime since there is no driving plot nor ultimate end goal for the main character to achieve. Its just Ran and her day-to-day life of a samurai. She is somewhat considered a oddity since she is a female samurai, but her skills as a swordsman is almost up to par with Rurouni Kenshin, if not on equal footing. The one major con for the show is that the male character design for the most part is rather mediocre, forgettable, and rather ugly to look at. Its unfortunate since the rest of ...
