Quality built battery cable set is well worth the money
The 4 Awg Golf Cart Battery Cable Set is great. High quality craftsmanship and good length. Love the way these new cables feel and improve my Golf cart battery life. PROs: 1) Well made cables 2) 4awg - adequate for electric golf cart use 3) terminals are well attached and good quality 4) Heat shrink wrapped termination (wire to terminal) CONs: 1) Little more expensive than 6awg (but worth it) 2) ??? not sure of anything else. Would I buy again? ABSOLUTELY! Would I recommend to friends and family? YES.The 4 Awg Golf Cart Battery Cable Set is great. High quality craftsmanship and good length. When you need cables, buy them here.....
It's the current, stupid. Good, well assembled, cables will not change the voltage readings on your golf cart. It is the current that makes them run well and what cables do best. So when you see a bunch of green stuff on the terminals and the cables are loosey goosey - get on the ball and order a set, a whole set, of good quality cables and install all of them. Clean the terminals with bicarb solution or any cleaner for connections and install the cables tightly. Protect the terminals against corrosion and enjoy a long time of great performance. It is really strange to really find out that, just because you read 36 or 48 volts the cables are good. A connection like a human hair will show the right voltage. My Club Car DS golf cart was using 2/3 of the battery life for a single round. I felt a couple of the cables after driving it and they were quite warm. Also, going up a steep hill, sometimes there was a distinctive smell. I ordered the cable set, they came is a few days and I installed all the shorter ones between the batteries after cleaning the terminals. The seemed to be better quality and of a higher gauge than the old ones that were only about 4 years old. Long story-short: the battery charge indicator shows a 2/3 charge after a round now. Good quality
I actually used these to revive some dead 12v sealed batteries sitting the basement for a small solar project to power lights and charge usb stuff. Far cheaper to buy these pre-made golf cart ones than ones that are advertised to be solar battery cables.
