NOTE: the detent for the stem is not visible, and apparently broken or absent, as the stem will simply pull out, in which case the dial will need to be removed to get the winding and setting parts back in position; the repeat will rarely strike after plunging, but with pressure applied to the repeat lever under the dial it will complete its strike; the activation rack can sometimes skip over the gathering piece, requiring re-setup; the chronograph mechanism is lacking several parts, the first being the activating lever, whose return spring seems broken short, so the push does nothing; chronograph also lacks the return lever for the sweep; the calendar mechanism is complete and fully functional, advancing nicely with all levers; dial has bad filled chip at center with hairlines and fractures through the central area, another small fill and fracture affecting the Longines signature above; A worthy project for the restoration professional....”
