Great sound, light and versatile.
Great sound, awesome head and nice light weight. Easily tunable. Just used it at a gig in State Farm Center Arena in front of 2800 people. Sounded incredible, the fans loved it. Great snap and nice warm beat tones and versatile. I taped a square on the back to eliminate overtones.

Highly recommend.
Beginners will find this hard to play because it's heavier than most expect. Look up on YouTube Scot Kettner's video on how to make your pandeiro lighter. You can trust him because he is a licensed Meinl pandeiro artist. The modifications he makes on his Meinl pandeiro applies directly to this model. It pretty much instructs you to take off the tension ring. I also took off the rubber grip thing. Meinl's higher end pandeiros don't even have the rubber grip thing. Taking off all that dead was the difference between me enjoying my Meinl pandeiro and me regretting buying it. Other than that, beautiful sound!
