    New. Light Duty. Not Suitable For Adult Use.

    Item appears to be new old stock fabricated in Taiwan and of suitable quality for a child or diminutive adult. The stock utilized for the item is of minimum gauge steel tubing for the application. As a large frame adult man I would not expect the material or the welds to hold up under more than minimal usage.

    Sunlite Touring Quill is the best Bike stem on the Market for Vintage Bikes

    This touring quill is absolutely awesome for vintage bikes. I got this for a friend, since he asked me to work on his bike, his old stem was too short and was only 4.5 (4 1/2) inches. When I got this one it added about 5.5 inches. That makes a huge difference especially for my friend who is an older man. Sunlight is a trusted brand, and their products are pretty awesome. I highly recommend this product for any person with an older bike, with a threaded headset with a 1” inch internal diameter hole and need a longer stem this is the product to buy.

    Save your back and your bike

    IF you are tall and find that riding is giving you a soreneck and back, these are a real jem. You can keep your old bike and just add this taller quill, pre st a more comfortable ride. I only had to Chang the front brake cable, as the original was pretty short. Carolyn was very helpful, and it came fast.

    Reminds me now of the old paperboy bikes that were often modified to use the higher bars to hold newspapers.papers

    Great standard chrome 12" approximately high goose neck to make it easier to sit upright on a cruiser bike that needs the smaller 21.1mm neck, all those 22mm sized bike stems won't fit into my old Schwinn fork tube. they won't fit the Hevi Duti. But his Quill unit worked great.
