Great Interface!
I had a MOTU 828 mk2 that went down, decided to switch it up as I didn't need all the inputs. Man, glad I did. It was like taking a blanket off my speakers. Great pres, the DI is awesome, cant say enough good about it. Solid, too. Was worried the usb 2 would drag, but no problems in PT12.

Very nice interface with useful features
I bought the Audient iD22 to replace/augment my Apogee Duet in my "home studio." The Duet is great for mobile recording and gives me excellent results, but I wanted something more "physical" and with more versatility and routing control. The iD22 delivered just that. The monitor control is excellent: I have one set of outputs going to my set of monitors and the other set of outputs going to a headphone amp. The extra control options on the pristine preamps are very useful; you can also utilize them with an external preamp, or bypass the preamp section entirely and go straight to the ADC by plugging into a channel return. Send and returns per channel! This is awesome. The converters are fantastic with huge dynamic range. Research it, and if you like what you see, give it a try! It's high ... I bought the Audient iD22 to replace/augment my Apogee Duet in my "home studio." Other companies, are still trying to catch up to Audient preamp and converter quality, all within a desktop box for $500! Very flexible ins/outs and routing options. This interface sounds and does what $1000+ interfaces do (i.e. Metric Halo, Prism, Universal Audio),but literally costs 1/2 the price. Even after 6 + years of release, this interface is STILL the best in its class. Audient id22 was about a decade ahead of other home recording interfaces. Other companies, are still trying to catch up to Audient preamp and converter quality, all within a desktop box for $500! Very flexible ins/outs and routing options. Strong and sweet preamps and built like a tank!
I use this interface several hours daily to run a sennheiser mkh416 and Rode NTG3 for several podcasts and for Voice over. Such a lovely full and warm sound. And has the option to bypass both amps to interface for multiple setups. :-) If you plan on using more than two mics or inputs I highly recommend getting a Behringer ADA8200 to master as it will only accept an optical I/O.
