In the Hour of Victory three characters entrenched on the battlefields of WWII must use their unique skills to make it through each level alive. Playing as Major Ambrose Taggert, gamers may sneak up on enemies and dispatch them with the sharp edge of a blade. Lieutenant William Ross is more inclined to run in guns first and shoot anything that moves. Finally, Sergeant Calvin Blackbull delivers the killing blow with a sniper rifle from a safe distance. <br><br>These three soldiers are the tools players use to complete each mission in the game. Their skills are all useful and each obstacle will require the use of at least one if not all three avatars. Designed to include all the details and realisms of WWII, gamers must navigate each landscape while planes, tanks, and infantry wage war around them. When not on foot the trio may commandeer any vehicle on the battlefield and ride through danger on a Sherman Tank, a Kubelwagon, or Axis Tiger Tank. Online, gamers may go to war with friends by connecting to Xbox Live.

Not worth the hour of play to get the hour of victory
Bought thinking it would be an interesting version of a WWII shooter. Game play is at times jerky, graphics while decent are blocky at times. Not much thought was given to your character's uniforms, they run around in the same uniform regardless of enviroment (snow, desert, woods) Stick with Call of Duty or Medal of Honor shooters, they are much smoother graphically and play wise. This one will be going to the local game store for trade, not the best game made. Entertaining, yes for a bit, but the AI is set and doesnt adapt to your gameplay. Cheap buy for a buggy game.
Hour of Victory starts as a good idea, but goes wrong rather quickly. Snipers are supposed to be able to climb to high area to snipe people, but it rarely happens in a level. The stealth guy is able to hide in shadows and be stealthy, but his hit points are rather low. The best option is the commando and he can take a lot of damage...as if that was a problem. The enemy AI is rather clunky. Often, they'll stand around or constantly switch cover positions while never firing a shot or without you even doing anything to provoke them to move. The sound is ok as is the music, but it's flakey at times. Also, there a numerous clipping issues, collision issues and bad graphics. Midway pushed out a bad product and it shows. Noone that actually played this game could call it good
This is absolutely the worst game I've ever played. POOR graphics, extremely dumb AI, Weak weapons, numerous glitches and holes. Compaired to Call of Duty this game looks as if it was made for the PS2, and even if it was it still would look horrible. The lack of an intelligent AI makes for some seriously easy battles, really you could walk up to them they would shoot one, or two rounds and thats it. They just kinda stand there. Seriously if you actually even consider buying this game you are a fool.This is absolutely the worst game I've ever played. Decent game play for a first person shooter game, the graphics could be better and at times the game play seems slow but if your starting out on shooter games, this is an easy game to start on, featuring several different aspects of war that make the game enjoyable
