I used this to upgrade a computer that was bought new over 10 years ago (originally it had a E2180 and 2GB DDR2 RAM on G41 motherboard). I doubled the RAM (bought used DDR2 locally for cheap) and put this CPU instead of that old dual-core. It's now much better computer overall. While it's much weaker than any i5 computer (even an old i5-3450) let alone any new Ryzen, it's now very good for average daily tasks in office or home, except maybe gaming.

Once I updated the bios the old asus board let me use the cpu .It appears to be working well over doubling the score for cpu in passmark 10.1. that the old CPU achieved. That being 809 compared to 2209 for the quad core so itwas quite an upgrade Thanks all is well
