Great low budget Alien knock off sadly this is a pirate edition.
Creature (AKA The Titan Find) is a low budget Alien knock off that is entertaining. Definitely B movie material and part of Klaus Kinski period of "take any role". I am not going to dive into the plot but more about this edition. This films history, as in who owns the rights to what, is all over the map. After VHS it was released by Diamond Entertainment. At that point the film was in, or thought to be in, the public domain (it WAS at some point). Fast forward to 2013 when the director on his own released the fully uncut version using original title The Titan Find. A DVD and eventual Blu-ray was supposed to be released but MGM who now owns the rights put a halt to it. Director Malone's DVD sold very quickly and he never got the Blu-ray put out. Now we come to this edition. This ... Creature (AKA The Titan Find) is a low budget Alien knock off that is entertaining. Now we come to this edition. This is a DVDr of the movie creature but under the title "The Titan Find" and in widescreen like the director's DVD. The print is a solid 8.5/9 out of 10 (rumor has it working from a work print). The color is deep and saturated at times (but better than the old VHS). Another thing that points to "pirate" edition is there is no company logo on the packaging or DVD itself, though it does have an FBI warning. 🤦🤷 Again, to reiterate, nowhere on packaging (or any eBay sellers post) does it indicate it's a MOD (Manufactured on Demand disc) except DVDr format on the DVD itself. This is important because DVDr discs (according to manufacturer's of the disc themselves) say data is supposed to last at least 75 years but in reality DVDr has a habit of failing within ten years. Hell I've had regular normal silver DVD's fail. Overall the disc is bare bones, just the movie, nothing else. No subtitles, no extras, no chapter menu and any chapter jumps are every ten minutes, not on the end of a scene. The audio is 2.0 Dolby Digital and seems to be sourced (in part) from a 35mm print. You see the occasional reel change oval and at the ten minute ten second mark you can hear the pop/click you would have heard in the theater. As to whether you should purchase, leave that up to you. I just hope we get a real release some day, be it the theatrical 97 minute cut or The Titan Find 100 minute uncut version.

"A Quintessentially 80s-era low-budget Scifi/Horror"
This William Malone '80s-era movie hews closer to "It, The Terror From Beyond Space" with a little of Howard Hawks' "The Thing" mixed in. Then again, so does the bigger-budget "Aliens". The art direction, cinematography, and lighting works in this films' favor, as does the casting of actor Klaus Kinski. Although there are other scifi/horror films I'd rank above it, "Creature/The Titan Find" is better than most of its similarly-themed cousins. In a way, I'm surprised this movie has passed into the Public Domain--and yet, I'm not surprised. This is one of those 80s-era "time capsule" movies that personifies the decade in which it was produced.
